This video is so Sad. I feel so crappy having to be associated with “Christians” who do this crap. Thanks Becky. There’s a lot of work to be done.

Powerful video, and well worth watching to understand the hard reality of what fear, anger, and hate will do. That said, it’s a bit disingenuous in trying to suggest “bashing” should only really mean physical assault, when “gay bashing” is a well-established term referring to speech or attitudes. This is the sense of the word that some on the right are trying to use for themselves, and while the list this group put out is a bit ridiculous, there is a sense of open hatred and derision out there for the Christian faith. I suspect some are even afraid the culture is heading in the direction where they might be the victims in a video like this, and they feel they’re trying to sound the alarm early. Unfortunately they’re doing this by putting on the “me too” mantle instead of standing up and speaking out against the violence and hate. I’d be willing to bet many of them don’t even know this kind of stuff happens.
