When the word of God is clear as it is on abberant sexuality, can't we just accept the thruth? I am just wondering how one can reconcile depravity with his religion unless the religion we are talking about is not Christianity.

You can read more about the Flat Earth myth here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flat_Earth

As I understand it, Christians believed in a flat earth because they had a literal interpretation of the Scriptures which referred to "the four corners" of the earth.

Whenever did the church hold that the earth was flat?
I hope this myth doesn't take off!

Becky,

"Their fear of hell (often in the form of disappointed parents, an unkind society, or outright damnation) is greater than their fear of stifled sexuality." This how i felt for many years. i was greatly depressed, attempted suicide, and had no joy. We can compartmentalize our lives but i do not find that to be healthy.

Now that i have come to terms with my sexuality and reconciled it with my faith, and come out and live openly as a queer woman. i am at peace and full of joy. Depression is more related to my Lyme Disease now.

i do hope the church's stance on homosexuality does indeed change because 'And if there’s one thing that I have learned in working with people on their sexual issues, it is that although we think we can tuck our sexuality neatly away into a corner of our lives, the truth is that it permeates every moment. If we aren’t honest with who we are sexually, then we aren’t being honest with who we are.' is so very true!

Thanks for your thoughtful post.

Warm Regards,

EP
